For some reason Oh My Goddess doesn't seem to get much merchandise that is 'standard' other than resin and now more very complex PVC, but these plushies are a cute and welcome edition. A set of 3 consisting of Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld made by Banpresto in 2000.
Look at all those fabrics!
Belldandy has wires in her top strands of hair so you can decide how to curl them, she's got shiny decals on her face and clothes, a beautiful cape and headband, too.
The pleating on her cape is nice and the headband material too!
Her pony tail in the back is a single sheet but it's cut in a way that makes it curl into a more complete shape. Woah!
And look how her front bangs curl just right and wrap around her hair strands that come down! How did they DO that? The hair just curls around so naturally. Her hair just amazes me.
Urd looks great, too and even has a bustline! Again, a wire in her hair and her hair curls, do you see that?
Those curls are just so cool to me... I haven't seen that on any other plush that I can remember.
All the materials are nice but the fabric stiffened and separated on her cape :-(
Skuld with long legs!! Her hair is nice with a slight wave.
Her skirt's color has darkened and stiffened just like Urd's cape. I see this with dual-layers that were glued together for capes and such.
I did have two of these sets, and now I just have this one. I remember being surprised at how quickly the set sold on ebay and how many inquiries (and offers) I got about them after they sold. I definitely underpriced them at $45/set, should have been more like $75-80 based on the offers I received.
Both sets are now SOLD for $60. Could have sold for more, but meh lol!

Fruits Basket Plush Hana to Yume Yuki and Kyo Animal Versions 2002
This is a plush set of Yuki and Kyo in their animal versions released by the actual magazine that the manga ran in, Hana to Yume. I don't remember how I came upon owning these, but here they are.
Many times things like these were send-away items where you had to get tickets out of one or more issues of the magazine, and send in the tickets/coupons with money for the postage and/or item itself. These in particular I did not acquire myself this way, I'm not sure Hana to Yume allowed other countries to participate outside of Japan like Ribon Magazine did.
For pricing, I've seen Kyo go for $30-45, I'm not sure about Yuki.
Edit: Kyo SOLD, Yuki SOLD

Fruits Basket UFO Catcher Plush Banpresto 2001
This is a plush set released by Banpresto in 2001. I remember this set got REALLY expensive for a while, then seemed to lower in price when an American company made their own version. However, I do feel the Japanese version is better. Plus the 'American' edition of plushies tended to be a direct ripoff of the Japanese ones with lower quality and worse fabrics.
I think perhaps I will start leading with the full set picture, since that's what seems to show up as the preview image on the blog page. Full disclosure, I'm terrible at webpage-blog-organization-html stuff (grew up a decade too late to be on top of that) so please excuse this blog setup. Thank goodness blogger makes it so easy.
Anyway... The set consists of Yuki, Tohru, Kyo, Shigure, and Kaguya. Let's take a closer look at them.
Yuki looking very cute and charming. However, something with this set has made the feet peel on most of them. It's a similar material to many of my other plushies, and I store them all the same way, so I'm a bit puzzled as to why some sets peel and others don't. I do believe I got these secondhand (except for Kyo) instead of as a set when released, and I find those tend to peel more often than others that I've owned since they were first available. It's unfortunate :-(
I always thought this Tohru plush was exceptionally cute. I liked how her hair in the back conformed to her head shape and then fanned out on the bottom, very nicely done. I also got one with a good face shape. Shame her shoes are peeling too...
Kyo looks cute and grumpy and has managed to avoid any peeling. Now I really am thinking that it was previous owners. He has some residue and a bit of price tag on the back of his tag from when I attempted to remove it.
Shigure has simple materials so he's not in any danger of peeling, lucky fellow.
Kagura looking completely adorable. Her shoes are cracking but not peeling yet. I always appreciated the detail on her... her hair in the back I think is very well done, and the cat backpack is perfect!!
For pricing, I only remember the old high prices, and I don't imagine they fetch that anymore. When I search ebay I see a lot of the USA lesser-quality edition so I can't be sure. Looking quickly now I don't see ANY of the Japanese version, actually. If anyone has any info on pricing please let me know!!

Fullmetal Alchemist (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi) Gekijouban DX UFO Catcher Plush Banpresto 2005
There were a few sets made for Fullmetal Alchemist, this set was a DX one made for the (first) movie, before the Brotherhood series came out I believe. The set consists of Roy and Ed, and are average DX side except for the fact that they are made to sit, not stand. So, I suppose they are technically shorter than most DX.
For some reason Ed looks larger, but I chalk it up to his hair just being more massive??
Ed looks great with his stitched eyes (always a favorite method of mine) with lots of details in his clothes. It's nice to see layers on a plushie, so I like the jacket on both him and Roy.
Ed's left arm is a different 'color' to signify the automail, but I kind of like Ichiban Kuji plush's approach more with a coated 'metal' fabric with details printed on.
Roy looks charming as ever and also has some great details! With plushies like this I always wonder what's under the eye patch, don't you? Let's take a peek!
Aha! There is something there. What is interesting, too, is that his eye patch actually has a finished hole for the ear to go through and is stitched to his head behind his ear. So, you can take his ear out, kinda neat.
I enjoy the detail on his hand and that his jacket is resting on his shoulders, but they still made the jacket have open arm holes.
Even underneath his jacket, though attached, you can see he's got the layer of his jacket, then his military coat which floats on top of his body. Very nicely done!
The paper tag is a fold-out kind and taped, but I can see the picture of the plushies on the inside.
Altogether a nice set, with the attention to detail that you see in later years of plushie production. I don't think these sell for much, just the average price of $20/ea.

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne UFO Catcher Plush Banpresto 1999
This is a set that came from a series that originally ran in Ribon Magazine by Arina Tanemura. I remember being young and seeing her art, and being blown away. I absolutely adored it. I read the series in Japanese with a translation dictionary and I have to say I can only vaguely remember it (probably because I was translating it haha). I saw I bought the USA release of the manga (from CMX?) but am missing two volumes. I think I will hunt them down and read the series properly now, for old times sake.
Anyhow, there inevitably was an anime and then there were plushies!! Let's start with the namesake, shall well? Released by Banpresto in 1999. I forget how I got this set exactly, it wasn't stocked in the usual stores but my memory isn't the best because Finn was my first plush and I wasn't as educated as I was later on. Finn came first, and the others later if I remember right. I think I got Marron, Jeanne, and Chiaki from Hitoshi Doi and Miyako when I finally hunter her down from some random source.
Kaitou Jeanne in all her colorful glory! What a cute, petit little set this is. I love the proportions of these plushies. They are small, like 6.5-7" tall (as opposed to the normal 7-8"). She is so cute with all of her details and materials. I love the bows and her stitched hair.
Finn... I think she is one of the more rare of the set? Simply because someone was very desperate for her years and years ago, when I was still avidly collecting and part of the (plushie) community, and offered me $500 for her. I turned her down, and I regret it to this day. Eventually my Finn went into storage and I'm sure the other girl would have treasured Finn like gold. I do hope that girl found her Finn plushie, I'm sorry I wasn't ready to give her up!! This particular Finn was won for me by a friend of mine who visited family in Japan. I asked for her to bring me back something if she had a chance, and she brought me back this. This, is, if not my first, one of my very first plushies ever. I remember I had an Inuyasha (first series) set, and this Finn. Very nostalgic for me, I can understand my mind set years ago when I didn't sell her (who wants a partial set, anyways? XD) since we have history together.
Marron in her school uniform. How. Adorable. Is. She.
After buckling down and deciding to pull out my plush and making Fushigi Yuugi the first goal, the Jeanne set was in the same storage box. And there was Marron. One of the cutest plushies I think I've ever owned. Definitely one of my favorites. The hair is just perfect! The little peaks on top with some paint, her buns painted as well and her hair stitched into little swirls on either side. Her uniform is great with the stitching and her proportions are spot-on, the face is a PERFECT shape and her decals and just right. I just said I'd sell all my plushies with little to no exception, and here I am having a dilemma already. I love you, Marron. <3
Chiaki, looking cute and a little haughty with his hand-on-hip action. Like Marron, I am fond of his face, proportions, and his decals very much.
Miyako. When I see her I am convinced I got her from a different source than Chiaki, Marron and Jeanne (additionally now I am clearly remembering buying the 3 together and from a site that looks like Doi's so I'm more confident that's where I got them). Her tag has what looks to be some paint removal due to an adhesive the size of a pricing sticker. She wasn't as well taken care of as the others because her eyes are discolored/yellowing. Still, having a full set (especially of a more rare lesser known set like this) is very gratifying and you take what you can get in the grand scheme of collecting. If you see that set-completing plush that you've been hunting for for years you are going to pounce on it, sink in your teeth and not let go that's for sure.
A full set shot and a tag back shot. I was looking through some old blog posts and I realized I found it lovely when there was a shot of the full set together, and decided I had to try to do that from here on out if I can remember. And look at that picture of the full set on the back, I love it. In the picture it looks like Jeanne had a wand, but mine doesn't look like anything detached, no stitch marks, no paint transfer so I'm not sure she had a wand in final production. I looked on a figure community page and in pictures from other people she didn't have a wand, so I'm thinking it didn't make it to final production.

Fushigi Yuugi Banpresto 1995 UFO Catcher Plush
I was just talking with a fellow collector about this set, so I wanted it to be the first one I posted when I started clearing boxes.
This is one of those sets that is rather large, and that I cobbled together when I saw them or had the money. I absolutely do not remember what I paid for them except for Miaka.
To start, I wanted to post a picture of the back of the tag that conveniently has a photo of the whole set (I absolutely love it when they do that!). I get a kick out of these tags also because it is the idealized version of the plush, how they look (or should look) when they're perfect. With that in mind, let's move on...
Miaka! I took a bunch of different pictures of her, then decided she's just not photogenic. I wanted to show how cute I think she is, but it's just not working. She's a bit dynamic, and is almost arching her back in a way. She's got her Suzaku scroll with her and I do think I got lucky with her face not being deformed in any way but a nice shape. I assure you, she's cute in person!!
Tamahome. Man, was I wild for Tamahome when I watched this series with my friend... over a weeklong summer camp stuck inside due to rain. Fond memories of this series abound! In any case, he's got the same problem as Miaka where his pose is not doing him any photogenic favors.
Tamahome's back and facial detail (see? his face isn't that bad, it's just the angle!!). I love these old plushies and their materials, like the Slayers set. I do adore the amazing new materials that are used a decade later, but these old ones are charming too in their own way. His little rope pony tail an other hair from this set always makes me laugh.
Mitsukake donning his cat, whose name I forgot. I'm actually surprised I remember all their names!! Ah, the fuzzy fluffy hair of this series. Chiriko and Chichiri both have shocks of it and Mitsukake has kind of a controlled even fuzz.
Ah, Tasuki. I feel like this plush is kind of infamous because of his wild hair. He's a bit faded/yellowed in his eyes. Not unusual, I just remember having a hard time finding him and had to just settle for this one. His fan is worse for wear :-( SOLD $35 (lower price due to fan damage)
All in all it's a fun set for what it's worth, not impressive by any means but definitely nostalgia fuel to last you a while. ^_~
Full set shot. It is nice to see them all together :-)
As for pricing I don't quite remember, when I got them they ranged from $15-20 (for chiriko?) and more for other characters depending (Mitsukake was the low too, maybe around $20? while Tamahome, Hotohori, and Nuriko were in the $45-60+, even $75+ range).
Tasuki, Nuriko, Chiriko SOLD

Hotohori... with black hair? Sure, why not. He seems to really like his sword haha. My summer camp friend was firmly in the Hotohori side of things. His pony tail is not string though haha!
Chichiri! I do wish that his staff had something stiff in it, but when I think of future plush and the way it was done with them, I don't think those were the best options, either (the plastic kind with a print on it tended to peel, the hard plastic accessory always looked off, the softer layered kind just flopped like this). His necklace is a nice touch and I like the print on his cape.
Little Chiriko, not sure how I feel about his arms in this one! The plush does capture his feeling well though.
The always entertaining Nuriko, again here crops up the rope hair. Not terrible looking, in my opinion. (SOLD, $45)
